If you are looking for a personal finance app that is convenient, easy to use and at the same time has enough features, then Debit & Credit is the right app for you. • All accounts in one app Keeping financial records was always a bit of a hassle. But now you can actually enjoy it. See all your accounts in one place and manage your everyday finances. • Super fast Creating a new transaction now takes a matter of seconds. The app was designed with simplicity and convenience in mind. It will never require you to make dozens of unnecessary steps to accomplish simple tasks. • Companion iOS & Apple Watch app Debit & Credit has its own app for iPhone and iPad, which you can use to add transactions on the go. It is super convenient and keeps data in sync via iCloud. • Importing data We know how important it is to be able to import transactions from your financial institutions. That's why we support CSV, QIF, QMTF, OFX and QFX files. And you can also choose which particular transactions to import from a file, something that not all financial apps know how to do. • Budgets & Scheduled Transactions Do you want to budget expenses on a particular category? No problems. Do you plan to make a transaction in the future and want to be reminded about it? Consider it done. • Reports We believe in clean, crisp reports that are easy to read and understand. See where and what do you spend your money on. Other types of reports are available too. • Shared Accounts Do you want to share some of your accounts with someone else? No problems, you can share selected accounts via iCloud while keeping other accounts private. Great for managing family finances! • Bank reconciliation mode Sometimes we all need extra help to keep our accounts in shape. You can easily reconcile your accounts with bank statements in the app to eliminate any disparities. • Powerful features Split categories, pending transactions, transaction export, file attachments (with sync), transaction tags, printing reports and saving them as PDF files - all those and many other features are at your disposal when you need them. • iCloud sync We will never ask you to create an account or provide any personal details. All data is stored in iCloud, it is not available to anyone except you. Some features are limited to premium version subscribers. If you choose to purchase premium version, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the iTunes Store after purchase. Current price for the premium subscription is $9.99 per year, and may vary from country to country. • Best simple finance app I have found!

    By Lesa417
I love how simple the program is set up. Most of the financing software I’ve checked out are so complicated and hard to figure out. The appearance is so clean, simple, and tastefully designed. I am still learning how to use all the features, but I am figuring out that it adequately covers my needs. Overall, it is a fantastic app! Here are some suggestions for later updates: 1) Provide the option to save multiple types of reports. Right now there is only a way to save one set of default settings. 2) Apply unique tags to each part of a split transaction. This way the transaction could have not only multiple categories, but multiple tags as well. 3) Provide the option to view reports in pie charts, versus just bar graphs.
  • finally left Quicken

    By Bclaus
We got rid of our old clunky Windows laptop and bought a used MacBook Pro. I couldn’t wait to get away from Quicken. After reading reviews I decided to give Debit and Credit a try. It took my wife some getting used to, but we both love it. It does everthing we need it to do, doesn’t try to do too much (that it can’t, like Quicken) and hopefully won’t try to hit me up every year for a new version that doesn’t work like it’s supposed to. I highly recomment this checkbook register.
  • Great FInance Manager

    By jeffhamrick
Happy to pay for the premium version – to keep track of all of my accounts and to support to developer. Simple to use. Quick and easy to enter transactions. Syncs quickly and flawlessly with the iOS edition (which I highly recommend as well). The app looks and works great on MacOS and iOS. Debit & Credit doesn’t connect with or sync with bank accounts but that’s not a deal-breaker for me. It does import and export CSV and Numbers files – which was helpful when I started using Debit & Credit. One of the few MacOS apps that I would recommend with no reservations. The developer is quick with responses and updates on both the MacOS and iOS versions – Thank you and keep up the good work. This is a great app!
  • Needs a better reconciliation process

    By CorinneMathiopoulos
Hey! So I am a die hard Quickbooks user and unfortunately they are no longer offering the program for Mac users after 2019 so I started searching for alternate programs and I stumbled acrossed this one. So far I really like it but I wish the reconciliation process was easier and more direct. Maybe have the system remember the beginning balance from last time’s reconciliation so I know where I left off and all I need to input is the ending balance and date I am currently reconciling! Just a suggestion :)
  • STILL no account reconciliation. Seriously?

    By ScottytheMenace
It continues to astound me that this app developer has no idea what account reconciliation is. What this app does is do is statement replication, which is completely different and completely pointless. Who the heck cares when the bank decides to print your statement and mail it to you? There is no such thing as “statement reconciliation” in banking. That’s a made up term. Account reconcilation is a simple math problem. All that matters is cleared transactions and the bank balance. That’s it. It has nothing to do with dates. It has nothing to do with opening balances. I know this because I can do it on paper and the paper never asks me for either useless fact. This is account reconciliation in 3 easy steps: 1- Check off the transactions in the app that your bank knows about (know as “cleared” transactions). 2- Enter the current balance shown by your bank. 3- If the difference is zero, you’re done. End of process. Why complicate it with dates and opening balances when they have nothing to do with it? It’s 2018. Can someone please make a financial app that gets this right?
  • Simple and effective

    By PrettyGirlyThings
This is a great app. You can keep it as simple or as complex as you want. I like that I can see my balance of cleared and uncleared transactions, therefore I can match up the uncleared balance with my bank balance to know I haven’t missed anything right away versus at the end of the month. I have choosen not to create accounts for loans and credit cards and use categories instead, this way I don’t have to adjust the account for interest. This is how I simplified my personal accounting. :) Also, the developer is easy to reach.
  • almost perfect

  • Best app for tracking your spending..

Best of those I have tried.
  • Love this little app

    By Cuccia1
Streamlined and rich with features yet totally minimal. With integration and syncing across all of my devices, there’s really no other app I’d rather have for keeping track of my finances. No fluff, no annoyances, no unneeded features, just the good stuff in a nice package.
  • Nice Check Book Register

    By Amybud
I really like this App - it took me a while to learn but now that I pretty know to work it, it serves my needs well. I only use it to record all my transacxtions from my banks & Credit Cards. Had really good comunication with the App developer. With his help I got to learn how to use it. One thing I’d like to do is to be able to see the bottom of my transactions (where I left off so I don’t have ro scroll down to the bottom of the page especially when I get a couple of years info into it. I haven’t used the budget yet. Overall a great, easy App!
