  • Trapped

I signed up for the two week trial late one night and decided to give it more than two weeks. I thought billing was monthly, there was no clear conversation about a contract...and I got trapped. If you have ever had an eating disorder or are vulnerable to eating disorders, quit. This app supports black and white think about types of foods (red, yellow, green...). Because they don’t know much about Participants, the plans are Broad stroked. If you have metabolic issues, older...it won’t be taken into account. The app itself is a little outdated (which is ironic because they make fun of weight watchers saying it’s an old program). It’s eh. If you have never used a good app like spark people, you won’t even notice. He exercise part of the app doesn’t allow for miles to be entered or make distinctions between types of similar activities. The food log is ok. When spark people was new, I was I putting nutritional data constantly because foods just wouldn’t show up in their library. Now...same with Noom. I end up using a similar food because I just don’t have time to input info. I’m paying for this right??? The couch is good. It’s clear there is a lot of automated responding but when she does pipe in, it’s solid. Clearly well trained in CBT and motivational interviewing. Also clear that they are instructed not to spend to much time engaging with people, especially if there is an actual issue. Maybe it’s my fault for not having read the small print but I do feel ripped off. It’s expensive for what it is. Weight watchers has a good app. Spark people is fantastic (breaks down nutritional info much much better) and is FREE. So don’t be an idiot like me. Read before you jump Im and if it fits for you—awesome and good luck
  • Be Aware!! Billing & Refund customer services are horrible

This is a review of their billing/refund service. I decided to not use Noom during the 14 day trial period. They have not refunded the money and it has been 10 days since I cancelled. Their customer service is automated- no live person to reach. Just straight to voice mail or email only. Because I cancelled, I no longer have access to the messages to and from my “coach” who never responded to my request concerning when to expect my refund. Really horrible support & kind of sketchy. If I hear back from them, I will update this review. Just beware.

i tried the 14-day free trial but I was never warned that my free trial was up or agreed to pay $130 all at once ! They don’t even give you the option to pick how you want to set your payments. I tried to talk to the support group/ customer service and explained that not only was I not warned or agreed about being charged to my bank account but $130 is also a lot of money to lose ! I tried to get a refund from them but they said I can’t get a refund because of they’re “refund policy” which is bs because they trick you and don’t give you the option on how you want to do your payments. STAY AWAY NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY !

I absolutely love this app. It’s easy to use, tons of information as to why you over eat and how to conquer those demons. Plus food tracker and a built in pedometer. And the best part you are not alone, there are groups with real people and support staff that actually check in on you. I’ve lost 10 pounds in two months. I highly recommended it.

So I did the free trial and within a week I noticed the so called coach wouldn’t answer she claims to had been at the hospital How convenient as I was trying to get out of this scam they used my cc and charged it even after I made it clear I didn’t wanted to be part of this my bank is still trying to figure out how they tapped into my bank account with an unauthorized card 150 dollars that I’m trying to get back but they don’t even have a number where to call and the “coach” went MIA again

It’s really just a bunch of articles to read (advertised as taking 10 minutes per day, but way more time consuming and a “Coach” who asks you questions. I did the free trial, then requested the subscription be cancelled. Ironically, 5 min later I was charged the subscription fee of $99.00. There is no cancel button built into the program. You have to request a cancel through the coach. Pretty scammy.
  • Customer support is terrible

This company has by far the worst customer support, meaning they simply ignore emails and do not respond. I moved on to finding their phone number only to receive a recording redirecting me to email or fill out a form on their website. I went ahead and filled out the form, which was another waste of my time because they still didn’t respond
  • Worst service and customer service ever.

Do not buy this app it is horrible. If you try and scan the food you eat it’s not available yet. The coaches aren’t available after 4 and the synchronization with my Fitbit didn’t work I had to reconnect daily to get the step counts to work. I tried canceling before the 7 day trial was up and got no response then was charged and now no one will respond to me. This app is a joke. Hope I help others before they fall for a $50 trap.
  • Where is the coach support?

No support from the coach. Very slow in relying to requests of information and clarifications. Tried to do for 3 weeks but it ended up being onlyme logging in weight and meals with no interaction with the coach (which should be the feature of the program). After a few messages with no reply, I sent a last one saying that I was not getting any reply and that it was frustrating and if nobody would get back to me I had to cancel: next thing I receive an email saying that my account was cancelled....though I had not asked for a cancellation. Following exchange of emails very frustrating. It takes them 2 to 3 days to reply. The coach in the app does not answer..

I love the a accountability, motivation and ease of tracking calories. Also how you can add activities if you have a condition that stops you from walking a lot!
