  • Hate the update

    By picklefan1991
They changed the whole style of the app, the way you check in. The old style was way more interactive and encouraging. Ruined it for me especially for the price. I don’t love the coaching style, there’s no education, just “what should you do differently to achieve X”
  • Easy to follow, gets in deep

I love the fun (yes, sometimes goofy over the top) yet solid psychological grounding that is the driving factor for this app. They’re provided in small doses and give you specific mind exercises to help keep you motivated, as well as incentives for posting in group and keeping up with your personal goal coach. I read a review that they ask you questions and get you to make the decisions b/c they don’t want to be litigated. It may be true, but I also think they are helping to coach me to making my own smart decisions rather than relying on some external source to be my motivator. I need to learn how to set goals that I can and want to achieve. They help me stay focused and hone in on that skill. There are several active people in my group, and it’s fun to post and see each others’ pics, as we get to know and support each other.
  • Watch out

I had no idea this was automatic renewal. Perhaps this is on me. But the website provides no customer service information. They tell you to go to the app for help. There is no account information there. You have to contact your coach for help and SHE says she'll contact Account Management. There literally is NO customer service. Who knows if I'll ever get my money back. Join Noom at your own risk!
  • Accountability and real support

    By Steph in Singapore
I have a pretty good understanding of nutrition and exercise but I needed help taming my inner hungry monster. Noom has helped me decipher why I was over eating and supported me in creating healthier habits. I have tried lots of weight loss programs and this is the ONLY one that has helped me. The program is great if you know what you need to do but need accountability and support in doing it. I guess the fact that it's a pretty pricy subscription is motivating for me. My personal coach is very helpful and checks in regularly. My group and group coach has been very supportive. I had a problem with the app that was a user error and my interaction with customer service was stellar. I don't know what the bad reviews are about, but this program is working for me and I am so glad I tried it.
  • Not worth the money

It’s a nice idea for a weight loss program, but definitely not worth the money. Also, they switched my individual coach to a man (I’m a woman). Weight loss and body issues are such personal things that are so different for men and women. Why do I have to talk to a man about my body? I complained about it, but it never changed. Then when I went to deactivate my account I saw on the website that all the people on their leadership team are men! 8 men zero women!! I wish I had seen that to begin with, because I never would have paid for this. Also, when I deactivated my account, the still billed me for two more months.
  • Very Disappointed and Frustrated

The app was fun for a few days. The coaches and program in general were pretty much self led. Not much help on nutrition or meal planning. The information and articles were only helpful if you know VERY little about nutrition or how to stay in shape. This app is not for people who are looking for deeper knowledge or to be pushed. This app auto renews and they don’t convey this when you sign up! I deleted the app half way through the 90 day boot camp I purchased for $99. Much to my chagrin, I saw a new charge for $99 last week. When I called to cancel and request a refund they said they could only refund half of he new charge despite he fact that I had not logged into the app in several months. There is no phone support. Terrible program and worse customer service. Don’t waste your money!
  • Feels like a scam

I signed up for the 2 week trial with the $100 3 month- ‘cancel anytime’ premise, when I missed canceling before the free trial and after they billed my credit card $100, they were happy to cancel, with no refund. Good news (according to Noom) was that I could still access their app until my (basically) pre-paid plan was over. :(. I found almost all of what they were offering was already available on the FREE jawbone up app. Use the free apps out there and join groups in Facebook for moral support- don’t get sucked into the ‘same package, different name’ weight loss app.
  • In three months from 160 to 143 pounds

    By alaskafishergirl
"It costs how much?!?" Was my first thought! But I followed the guidelines set forth and it worked. I already had healthy eating habits but I ate TOO MUCH and drank too much wine. The accountability of this app was the only thing that had helped me lose weight. Here's a tip: GREEN foods are fruits, veggies, and whole grains. If you never log green foods then you're not eating right. I'm happy enough that I'm going to renew in order to lose 10 more pounds and keep myself from gaining this winter.
  • How to CANCEL?

    By Amr5152
Ok, sounded good after my daughter told me how much she liked it. I tried and not for me. Free subscription so no problem will just cancel. Not so. All day trying after following directions but still nothing. Now the only way ,I believe is to contact the person designated as my 1:1 counselor on weight loss. Who has only checked twice. Once to introduce herself and then once more mid week. Now that I want to cancel no other way than to wait for that person to check in and see my message? If not I am buying a 4 month program for $124...? Even if I don't want it. Make sure you want this before you sign up!

You aren’t still using Myspace so why are you still using Weight Watchers? This ad grabbed my attention and I was very excited to try the program. Unfortunately, in day two the app froze. I just get a black frame. I trued to reinstall after deleting the app and still nothing. It cannot work if people can not utilize the app. The idea is good but the technology is lacking. I have sent an email asking for my free trial to end immediately so that I will not be charged. Have not had any response yet though.
