This app is amazing and so much fun!
  • Loving this app!

    By LingoBird
I am loving this app! It really helps me with remembering vocab! Edit: It would be absolutely awesome if you could add Latin!! It'd be kinda nice to add talking to the bots in addition to the texting... Just a thought 😉 Merci beaucoup !

When you speak certain phrases it does not pick them up properly every time
  • To many problems

I really like using Duolingo. don’t get me wrong, I’ve learned a lot! But there are some problems that really need to be fixed because they are preventing me from learning. First, the game usually always freezes right before I am about to complete a challenge, or gain my reward. No matter what I do, whether it be me closeting down the app, exiting out all the way, etc. the game refuses to start. Next, during a lesson there is a part where it has your speak out what either the translation is, or what the sentence says. I don’t know if this happened to anyone else, but the speaker simply will not record what I am saying, and so it deducts a heart. This is very frustrating for me because I feel as if it is hindering my learning progress. These reasons are why I gave the review 3 stars. I love the app, but because of these problems, I’m starting to feel as if I should just drop Duolingo and find a new language app that can help me learn better.
  • Great but one thing.......

The app is very helpful and even kind of fun!!! But I don’t like that you have lives. One time I lost all of my lives and I had to wait four hours for it to refill. It was very annoying and please read this so you can maybe change it. Have a amazing day and thank you for your time!!!!
  • Push notifications kill it

  • App is good, but...

I recently used Duolingo on the web and found that the web version is far superior to the app. For one, before most lessons there is a Tips & Notes sections that will go over the grammar or words in the lesson. There’s also Discussion sections after each question that you can choose to go to if you have a question and it feels like you’re a part of the community. If the app had these functions as well it would work so much more efficiently for those people who only have access to the app. Now, I know that Duolingo will not teach you everything about a language and you shouldn’t rely on it solely to teach you the whole language, but those just using the app are missing out on valuable resources that are majorly helpful in learning a language. Bring the Tips & Notes and Discussion sections to the app!
  • Fun for old folks too!

Learned of this from an 11 year old who was hooked. It’s a fun way to learn a little Italian before traveling to Sicily this spring. I enjoy it.

This is in my favorite section of my apps because this is a very useful tool. But I ask one thing can you make the lives only ten minutes of the cool down. Thanks so much 😁!
