Look this is a good app, but that fact that you are basically forced to buy gems in order to advance levels and further your learning is not fair and it is hindering my learning process. And no I will not buy gems, I will simply uninstall this app until the health feature is removed. The android version did not force you to buy gems. In fact you could miss as many times as you wanted to. Either give users unlimited health or make it easier for users to refill their health or gain more gems. Until then, I will be resorting to something else to further my language learning

Used the app yesterday morning and didn’t get the treasure chests to pop up. Launched the app today and it said I lost my streak unless I upgraded to the subscription service. 🤬
  • Hell yes.

It keeps giving me false incorrect marks. It also gives incorrect audio for translations.
  • Pretty good

Very good in all aspects but their bots were so useful. I just started using it again recently but I really miss that really useful feature
  • Fun but not serious for language learning

Fun app and website, not sure if anyone starting a language from scratch will get too far with it but it is a good refresher.
  • Unsuccessful app

I downloaded this app and it was great for the first few days. However, after about a week of practicing,I stopped getting notifications and missed 2 days. This caused me to not be able to move to the next level. So I was stuck on stage 1 level 3 for about 3 weeks. I was not learning any new words. There were the same sentence over and over without moving to a new level. After I wanted to practice, I was forced to download a new app. Unfortunately the game had to be deleted and reinstalled. when I reinstalled the app, I was stuck on stage 1 the level had changed from 4 to unlock, to 10 to complete and unlock a new stage. Which means I’ve been stuck on the same Stage for 1 month not learning any new words or sentences.
  • I now speak French

Best app ever. If you do the work and keep it up everyday you will learn. Now, I’m learning Irish. Highly recommend.
  • Ok app, doesn’t tell you the rules.

I tried Babbel first to learn Spanish but it was too intense for a beginner like myself, so I tried Duolingo and found it easier for a beginner to get at least a foothold on Spanish. My main complaint is there is no explanation of the rules of grammar ie when to use el or la, or the male o at the end of a word or the female a when there is no context in the sentence. For example the app had a English sentence and three Spanish sentences to chose from, one was obviously wrong the other two where exactly the same except for el in one and la in the other, since el and la mean “the”in English either answer should be right, right? But the one I picked was wrong with no explanation as to why, how does this help me learn Spanish? It is very frustrating and one of the reasons I have not gone ad free, I want the freedom to drop this app if it succeeds in finally pissing me off to the point of no return. I just want to say for the most part I like this app but it needs improvement, I am a beginning Spanish student only 42 days in so maybe they will explain this stuff later if I stay that long.
