  • Constantly having issues

I use an iPad mini and this app always has issues. Few days ago the voice recognition stopped detecting my reply correctly. Now, the app doesn’t even start, just complains about Error 0, try again, and closes.

It is simple enough, and works decently, but it honestly isn’t the best way to learn a language, at least, in my opinion. The thing is, the only way to figure out a word is use the picture given. It offers no translation and it can be difficult to figure out the differences in some things, as the pictures may not be clear. And even if you get the gist of what the words are supposed to mean, you can never be certain in its entirety. And with that, I also spent it mostly connecting words with the pictures rather than actually learning what they mean. And, while, I did learn some simple words, and get rather far with the time I was given(I took a course at school with this that lasted a semester), that was mainly because I was able to associate the pictures with the certain words, as said previously. Also, to add, the courses are ridiculously expensive. I have nothing more I can think of to add right now, so I’ll end my ramblings here. If you read the entirety of this, I’m shocked and sorry, and have a good day/night.

This app would be a 5 star app if the bugs didn’t exist. If I close the app completely then go back to it it crashes on the opening loading screen. Also when going threw the lessons that require you to speak the voice recognition doesn’t work to well with picking up my voice even tho I’m speaking directly into the mic. Last but not lease when I’m listening to the the voice not the app speak so that I can press the correct picture the words that appear at the top (or should appear) dose not. Please fix these bugs fast

  • Audio won’t work

When I repeat the phrase, it doesn’t register that I’ve said everything. If I say it louder, then I get a message that I’m speaking too loud. I can’t pass the lessons because even as I’m pronouncing the words, it won’t accept it. The instructions are also unclear.
  • Bugs! And terrible on iPad

I have been disappointed since purchasing this app. There are no instructions whatsoever, and not all the things they try to get you to do you are self-explanatory. The speech recognition fails, Repeatedly! It offers up the next lesson but then it tells you that you’re skipping ahead I have yet to figure out why. The free trial really doesn’t represent what this app is about, I wish I had not spent the money on this app and then instead use Duolingo. I am using the free version of Duolingo and getting more out of that then the paid version of this app. I found this app works Much better on my iPhone than on my iPad
  • Problems

Studying French. Downloaded to my PC laptop and to my ipad. On both of these devices, there are intermittent problems with the program hearing my voice during the pronunciation exercises. Very aggravating! At times, this causes me to get less than a passing score, and I have to repeat the lessons several times until it finally hears me. It’s NOT the microphone, as it hears me correctly much of the time. Frustrating!
  • pronunciation feature does not work

The voice recognition feature that is supposed to help you with your pronunciation does not work very well. On one of the exercises, it kept rejecting me. To test it, I recorded the app’s own audio of the phrase and played it back at the prompt. It would not accept that either! You can bypass those exercises but it was one of the selling points that got me to subscribe so it seems like a rip off. I have sent feedback on this through the app’s feedback feature twice and never heard anything back from the developers.
