Would recommend this app to anyone interested in learning more about the goods we eat. So much valuable info from both Fooducate and the other app users.
  • Lots of good info.

(Adding to my original review- this is a great ap and better as more workable now less touches needed to use it. I wish you didn't have to pay so much for the additional features but yes, they need to make money. )This is a great application for identifying and comparing the healthiness of foods. I dont go grocery shopping without it. The new version is a pain because now it is trying to track my meals and be a diet app too; don't need that. Also it is too many taps to go from scanning one item to the next. It used to be easy to go from item to item in the store or the pantry scanning and learning. Now I have to backtrack to get to the scanning screen. The information is good however.
  • I love this

I've really loved using this app to help me monitor my activity and food intake. I find it helpful and encouraging, and it reminds me that I can have a little wiggle room in my diet as long as I exercise a little! Wishlist: 1. I wish I knew what the foodpoints are before I log my meals- it reminds me of Weight Watchers, but because I can't see foodpoints broken out for each food, I'm not totally sure what's going on with them. 2. I'd love to be able to edit my recipes! I like to put them in at the beginning of the day, to understand what I'm getting into, but sometimes things need to be modified once I'm actually cooking. I feel like I've got this huge list of recipes but I have a lot of duplicates because of minor changes I need to make. 3. I'd love more information for WHY my nutrition limits (sugar mostly) are set the way they are. I eat a lot of fruit for snacks and they throw my sugar off the chart, I wish I had more insight in the diet tips as to why I should be eating less fruit. 4. Speaking of diet tips, I'd love some more "intermediate" level tips. When you already cook at home, exercise daily, drink nothing but water, and understand good vs bad carbs, it's kinda stressful to undergo a new diet without any pro-tips. It would be AWESOME to receive tips on how to time my snacks to prevent hunger, how to exercise smarter, etc. 5. Maybe water reminders? I feel like this is something that could be added to the app so that I'm not using multiple apps, especially since the app has my weight, height, and activity in it. All that said, I really like the app, and I'm seeing results in the way I feel and look!
